Wreath Laying Ceremony For Detective Joseph Vigiano
Newly promoted Sgt. Joseph Vigiano Jr. lays a wreath in honor of his father, Det. Joseph Vigiano Sr., of the Emergency Service Unit, who made the ultimate sacrifice responding to the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Sgt. Vigiano’s mother, Kathleen, is a retired Police Officer who was assigned to the 75 Precinct.

SBA Tribute
74 sergeants have died from illnesses related to the 9/11 and its search and recovery efforts. We will #NeverForget the first responders we lost nor the families who carry their memory. We owe them a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid. We will honor their legacy always.

On this solemn day we pay tribute and vow to NEVER FORGET Sgts. John Coughlin, Michael Curtin, Rodney Gillis, and Timothy Roy, all of whom made the ultimate sacrifice while responding to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001
Never Forget
Twenty-five years. Never Forget. On September 11, 2001, the NYPD lost 23 members of the service, including four of our own Sergeants, responding to terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. We honor their sacrifice and the sacrifice of every first responder who answered the call that day. #NeverForget
